S

Type S — Pt-10%Rh / Pt Thermocouple

Platinum-10% Rhodium / Pure Platinum. Historical reference standard for the gold point (1064.18°C) per ITS-90. Used extensively in aerospace, glass, and primary calibration laboratories. Identical color codes to Type R — verify by alloy stamp.
